The Consecration of Russia

It is reported that when the Virgin Mary appeared at Fatima, she told the three children that there would not be world peace unless the pope consecrated Russia to her Immaculate Heart. I see two serious problems with the Consecration of Russia.

First of all, God gave us free will. Consecrating Russia to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary without the volition of the Russian people is a violation of free will.

Secondly, we should always put God first, as we read in Exodus 20:3:

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Catholics, ask yourselves this question: Why must Russia be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary and not to God?
